Seven local high school teams received cash prizes at the 2nd Annual Youth Energy Summit hosted by Lodi Electric, SMUD and Roseville Electric.
The teams were honored for their community service learning projects they completed following a 1 ½ day seminar on energy-related issues. The students who successfully completed the seminar also receive a college credit.
While the projects were completed by teams, the award amount will be given to each student. For example, the top cash prize this year was $1,250. Each member of Bella Vista’s team will receive that amount.
